Accessibility Statement

Accessibility on Schumann Laboratory main website

This statement applies to content published on the main Schumann Laboratory domain schumann-lab.co.uk It does not apply to content accessed via another domain/sub domain.

The statement is intended to cover features of the site which aid accessibility. In addition, elements of the site which are not fully accessible are detailed.  This statement does not provide an exhaustive list of issues. The actions we take to fix issues are explained. Technical information about the website’s accessibility is provided. Contact information to report accessibility issues is detailed. Our methods to test website’s accessibility are given.

This website is run by the Schumann Laboratory, a research group at Imperial College London and the The Francis Crick Institute.

We want as many people as possible to use this website, that means you should be able to:

·      Zoom in without text spilling off the screen

·      Navigate most of the website with only a keyboard

·      Listen to most of the website using a screen reader

·      Responsive design on all pages

·     Skips to main content links

How accessible the website is

The website is run by members of the Schumann Laboratory, and all lab members are able to contribute to the site. No members of the group have expertise in website construction, although some members have been briefed in website accessibility by specialist staff at Imperial College London. Due to the lack of expertise, some content in this site may not be fully accessible, for example:

·      Some pages have poor colour contrast

·      Some images do not have suitable alternative text

·      Some buttons are not correctly identified

·      Some text cannot be resized or may be clipped upon resizing

Details of the inaccessible content can be found under ‘non-accessible content’ section.
