Ernesto Rodriguez

Postdoctoral Research Fellow

Ernesto earned a Doctorate in Chemistry from the Universidad de la República (Uruguay), where they studied the immunomodulatory properties of glycans from the helminth parasite Fasciola hepatica. They then joined the group of Dr. Yvette van Kooyk (Amsterdam, The Netherlands) to investigate the role of glycosylation in pancreatic cancer progression and earned a PhD in 2023. Ernesto recently joined the Schumann group, in a joint project with the Malanchi lab, focusing on the use of chemical precision tools and in vivo models to study changes in glycosylation during tumorigenesis.
