Teresa completed a BSc in Chemistry and Molecular Biology at the University of Toronto in 2022. In 2023 she embarked on an MRes in Drug Discovery and Development at Imperial College London. For this MRes, Teresa joined the Schumann lab in January 2024 to screen inhibitors against a number of GALE orthologs. 

Teresa returned for a PhD in October 2024 to use chemical tools to study the sequential activity of GalNAc transferases when O-GalNAc glycosylating proteins.
