Research

Glycosylation is amongst the most abundant yet least understood of posttranslational protein modifications. Glycans modulate biology at numerous levels, impacting cell-cell interactions, signalling, development, immunology and host-pathogen interactions. Aberrant glycosylation patterns are often observed in diseases.

Our lab strives to establish chemical tools in quantitative glycobiology. We focus on understanding the roles of glycan-modifying enzymes in the broadest sense, with application in both basic and applied biomedicine.
