Congratulations Dr. Beatriz Calle!

A huge congratulations to Dr. Beatriz Calle! After presenting her exit seminar, titled "A chemical biology approach to characterise the substrates of the glycosyltransferase GalNAc-T4 in breast cancer", summarising 4 years of incredible work, Bea passed her viva on November 15th 2024.

Throughout those 4 years, she was a member of the Chemical Glycobiology lab (Schumann lab) and the Tumour-Host Interaction Lab (Malanchi lab) at the Francis Crick Institute. Now, with her PhD completed, she will be moving on to a post-doctoral position in Phil Jones's group at the Wellcome Sanger Institute. 

We are sad to see you leave Bea, but look forward to seeing what amazing science you do next!
