Schumann Lab Retreat 2023
Recently, the Schumann Lab embarked on their annual retreat, this time hosted in Bournemouth. The retreat was packed with informative and fun activities to further bring the group together, brainstorm future work ideas and welcome new additions to the team. The retreat started with a Leadership Sculptor session by CJ that explored our strengths and identified areas to improve in our working habits, in order to refine theĀ working environment to suit all members and enable the group to reach our collective goals. Additonally, group members presented on novel and interesting areas of science and specific techniques to broaden the toolkits available to all members in the lab. Furthermore, the retreat comprised of a social aspect too; with sports, games and even a murder mystery played each evening - and we now know to watcg out for Will and his fatal methods! We also welcomed our new PhD student Freya to the group and left the retreat even more cohesive as a team than was already built on strong foundations.
